Erin
My name is Erin MacTavish. I started teaching bungee at the gym with Joscelyn and the girls back in June of 2024. I love Fitness Ability because it's just that, it's a gym that welcomes anyone with any ability to be who they are and train in a way that makes them feel comfortable. Our gym is a family. If you make one trip, I promise you will be hooked. I have gained friendships here that will last a lifetime. Even as an instructor, I have met some amazing people in my classes who I consider dear friends.
Teaching bungee is so special to me. I love watching people who may be nervous finally get their confidence and start to fly. It is definitely an addicting form of exercise that anyone can do. It makes my heart happy seeing people who say they hated exercise until they found bungee and now it's all they look forward to. My bungee crew is so near and dear to my heart and even after a long day, seeing them smile at class makes it all worth it.
In my spare time you will find me watching/playing any and all sports, I just can't get enough of it. I am also an avid lover of antiques that I love to source and sell. I spend tons of time with my dog Lulu and my boyfriend Greg. Now that it's warmer you will catch me outside whenever it's not raining as your girl loves the sunshine. Paddle boarding, floating in the pool or working in the garden is where I spend my time when not working or teaching at the gym!

I started my journey at Fitness Ability in January 2026, and from the moment I walked through the doors, I knew this place was something special. Our gym truly feels like a big family, and being part of it has changed my life in the best ways.
I absolutely love teaching Bungee Fitness. There’s nothing better than seeing people walk in nervous and unsure, and then—by the middle of class—laughing, smiling, and realizing they’re having so much fun that it doesn’t even feel like working out. Watching our fliers come together, supporting each other, and leave feeling proud is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
When I’m not teaching Bungee or taking other classes at the gym, I’m usually busy with my other jobs—Instacart, Amazon, or working my regular 8–5. I like to stay moving and stay productive.
In the summer, you can usually find me floating in my pool, listening to music. I’m a huge music lover. At home, I have one dog named Ginger, and I’m married with three grown children who I’m incredibly proud of.
Teaching, encouraging others, and having fun while doing it is what I love most. Fitness Ability isn’t just a gym to me—it’s home, and I’m grateful every day to be part of it.
